"I just received the custom pick guard you made me for my Epiphone Les Paul Custom Chrome Edition guitar. The previous owner had DESTROYED the original pick guard-he painted it because he thought it was too shiny! Yikes! I knew
that I had to get a new pick guard for my "baby", one that closely matched the original.
It's a limited edition guitar and therefore parts are impossible to get. I knew I'd have to go to a "custom shop" to get my new pick guard. I found 3 or 4 sites online that claimed to make custom pick guards. I emailed all of them with my questions.
Here's where the story gets interesting.........Terrapin Guitars responded that very same day! It took 3-4 days before any of the other places even responded and all they did was send an impersonal "form letter"! Wow! I knew right then which company I would be
doing business with. I placed my order and was happy to see that Terrapin uses Paypal! Cool!
The turnaround time was great, I got my pick guard really fast - less than 2 weeks, in my case. The price was unbelievable, much less than what other shops quoted me when they finally did respond, that is. Also, you had the material which matched the mirror finish of my original pick guard! Sweet! And the best part of the story..... my new custom Terrapin Guitar pick guard fits
PERFECTLY and looks fantastic! I've attached a few photos of my "baby" with her new Terrapin Guitar pick guard installed. Pretty, isn't she? So, thank you John! My guitar is finally restored to her original beauty, thanks to you.
